In late October 2023, Cara arrived at ONE80 Ministries, beginning her journey of healing and rebuilding her life after her release from Muncy State Prison. With courage and determination, she committed herself to our program and to her new future.

One of the most remarkable moments in Cara’s journey was being reunited with her 11- year-old son after nine long years of separation. It was an emotional and joyful occasion, a testament to her resilience  and the power of community support. This unanticipated reunion brought new challenges as they adjusted to family life together, but with every step, Cara and her son grew stronger.

 I have learned that the battle is real, that sin is my mortal enemy and the attacks are inevitable. I have received the tools to protect myself from the Word of God with the armor of God in Ephesians. Jesus has suffered for my acceptance and sent me by best friend, the Holy Spirit, who reveals truth to me.

I have wept with my Christian sisters, celebrated victory over sin with them and asked for forgiveness of them. My heart is full of appreciation and love for these women and for Julia's commitment and leadership of and to our small group. This place is judgement free and blessed. I've grown closer to Jesus during this study. What a joy!

 I am so unbelievably grateful for this space and group that has been able to encourage mean my spiritual growth. I have been held accountable and pointed in the right direction when convicted. My sisters cheered me on and motivated me to open up and share my feelings and struggles. We have seen many answers to prayer and God's presences has been EVIDENT in this space. I am so thankful to have been a part of this study. Thank you for having me.
